What Does It Take to Be GAF Certified?

In order to receive GAF Master Elite certification, a roofing company must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Minimum 7 Years in Business – 1 Year in Their Certified Program

  • 99% or Better Customer Satisfaction Based on Independent Surveys from GAF

  • $1,000,000 General Liability Coverage + Proper and Valid Workers Compensation

  • A Satisfactory Rating with Better Business Bureau

  • GOOD (or Better) Credit Rating

  • Clean Banking Record with No Overdrafts or Other Negative Marks

  • Clean Distributor Reference Check

  • No Liens, or Unresolved Judgments on Record

  • A Good Workmanship Record

It's a great question, and we're glad people are asking. In a nutshell, it's a certification reserved for the best of the best roofing companies and is limited to only the top 3% of roofing companies nationwide.
